Fabio Mura
Blue Sea’s Executive Chef, Fabio Mura was born and raised in Italy. His early roots in hospitality would eventually lead him to the Culinary Institute of Sardinia. After graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts at the young age of 19, Chef Mura spent the next several years touring Italy and mastering the many regional specialties that his country had to offer. Chef Mura’s artful yet simplistic approach to seafood led him to a career with famed Baltimore restaurateur Steve F. de Castro and his newest concept, Blue Sea Grill. Voted one of the 80 great new restaurants from Buenos Aires to Zurich by Conde Nast Traveler, Blue Sea Grill and Chef Mura promote the pristine qualities of the world’s oceans. Blue Sea Grill’s uniquely cultured menu explains why Chef Mura’s passion is to give the public something different without obscuring the essential flavor of the ingredients. In conjunction with de Castro’s entrepreneurial restaurant vision, Chef Mura’s philosophy was the perfect fit in making Blue Sea Grill Baltimore’s Premier Seafood restaurant. Despite a demanding schedule that requires Chef Mura to assist in the day to day operations of Blue Sea Grill, being in the kitchen remains a labor of love for this notable chef. Blue Sea Grill and Chef Mura’s passion for food does not end in the dining room. With Steve de Castro’s strong ties and involvement in the community Chef Mura and the team at Blue Sea Grill assist in the participation of local events that have helped raise millions of dollars for such charitable groups as the MD Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Maryland Food Bank, March of Dimes and The National Federation of The Blind. |
